It's very important that you take time to make up your mind to craft your perfect wedding gown and you are allowed to change your mind as many times as you wish. We have listed tips to help you have that fantasy look on your big day.
1. Never ask your groom for ideas as this will get you down, get a female trusted friend or relative to be by your side when visiting wedding dress designers, or bridal shops.
Asking the groom is a recipe for disaster because he will start comparing his budget for the suit to your dress and you might end up not having the best. You only have one time to keep secrets, its when only when you choose your dress.
2. Have a budget and try not to go beyond the budget as this might lead to financial stress.
Wedding dress budgets are not easy to stick to, sometimes you may be required to spend a little more than your budget or end up spending less than projected. Having a budget will help you know your limit, your affordability for your special dress. Pray for the strength and courage that you stick to what you can afford. However, find a dress that will make your man drop a tear or two when he sees you for the first time.
3. Consider the color of your wedding dress.
You can go all white or add some color if you like, the bottom line is to get the color that will best suit you or your skin tone. Today most brides choose different colored wedding dresses instead of traditional white. Comfort yourself with the thought that this is your day you can rock up in blue, black or even red if you want to.
4. Find the perfect wedding dress length
Wedding gowns can come in different lengths, you are not obliged to go by any rule, your dress can be long or short depending on the ceremony you are planning to have. If you are having a garden wedding without considering having a red carpet to walk on, you should consider a shorter dress. But if you have a carpet or your ceremony will be in a chapel you can go as long as you want your dress to be.
5. Choose the appropriate sleeve for your dress.
This is solely to remind you that if you are a muscled bride you surely don’t want to show off your muscled arms, or if you getting married in winter and you go sleeveless you might freeze to death. That rule applies to summer if you go long-sleeved under the scorching sun. Your Guests will have something to tweet about when your armpits are dripping of sweat.
If you have body parts that you feel are problematic or you don’t feel comfortable having them revealed its better to be safe and cover them than to give your guests something to gossip about. Remember all eyes are on you.
6. Know the shape of your body to help design the dress that fits best.
Just like anything, brides come in various forms of shapes and sizes. Consider your physical looks, overall body shape to make your decision. For example, if you have a round potato shape, get a bigger dress. If you look like a model get a dress that complements your looks.
7. Fabric choices
No matter what your budget is, never go for a fabric that looks like it will instantly catch fire when the temperatures rise. Choose your fabric based on the weather for your wedding day and quality.
8. Think carefully about the train.
As we all know that you want to look like a princess in a 100-meter train, If your guests are not civilized enough they will step on it and it might come off your head with a wig. Consider the walking aisle that they won’t be anything that might hook on your train as you walk. Easy advice if you going to have a train make sure you have enough space to walk and don’t get upset if your groom or other guests’ steps on it.
Never be pressured by anyone on your wedding dress, don’t ask your groom, get a female friend and consider the venue, the type of ceremony you are having and the aisle you will walk on. Then You will come up with a perfect dress with no stress
